Run Happy

GET MOVING…

Your heart is the hardest working muscle in your body and the best way to keep it in shape is through aerobic exercise AKA cardio!! So, get moving!

Make getting your 150 minutes (at least) of cardio in per week a HAPPY thing…

RUN, but make it fun!

RUN, but make it fun!

Have you ever wanted to run in a race? We encourage you to just SIGN UP.

Grab a friend or three and start running. Start slow! Run a mile a day with some additional walking, then ramp it up and in no time you will be running your first 5k.

Here is a great beginner running training schedule:

Monday: 2 Miles

Tuesday: 3 Miles

Wednesday: Strength Training + Yoga

Thursday: 3 Miles

Friday: Strength Training + Yoga

Saturday: 4 / 5 Miles

Sunday: REST

Here’s the HAPPY part. First off, doing something with friends always makes things better…but you can also turn some of those “Run” days into other kinds of cardio.

Mix in swimming, cycling, dancing or our personal fav HIKING. Each of these are amazing forms of cardio that can help you not only reach your goal of 150 minutes (at least) of aerobic exercise per week, but can also help you as you train for that 5k you just signed up for!
